I just sent in my official SAT scores and forgot to do so earlier. Will this have an impact on my admission chances?

It depends on the school. I would call the admissions office and ask about it if you missed the deadline or it is coming up soon. Did you self-report scores? As long as they match the official ones, some schools won’t count it against you. Other schools might not consider your application until it is “complete.” (My D had her official scores sent to a school when she took the SAT last year. The school could not find the scores, and the deadline was only a day or two away. They said they would not count it against her regarding the deadline. We were baffled because College Board confirmed that the scores were sent to the right school. It turned out that since we moved to another state after the scores were sent, the school had a second file with the same name and found her scores). I would guess that smaller, less competitive schools would be more flexible about things like this.
