If you stress too much about college and about the littlest things, (A-, 20 points away from a perfect SAT score, getting a 4 on an AP test instead of a 5, etc.) does it really ruin your personality? Do you really just all of a sudden become boring? I mean look at all those people who do study and stress a lot, and they are always deemed as one day becoming successful. But then, look at all of those successful people. Yeah, most of them are extremely smart, but also have a great personality.

In high school yes. While you may not “lose” your personality, it’ll pretty much go into hiding because you’re so obsessed with CC things. And others will deem you as boring.

1) Don’t hide your personality, hide your obsession
2) Don’t be so obsessed in the first place. So there is no need for rule number 1.

I found this thread kind of late but I feel like I wanna share my personal experience. My junior year has been the most stressful period of my life. I am always thinking about upcoming tests, quizes, projects, SATS, other exams etc. My friends are getting sick of hearing about my reach schools, resume and ec’s. Even when I’m hanging out with my friends I’ll space out thinking about college and I feel like I contribute very little to conversations going on amongst my friends. So yeah basically I feel like a robot with out a personality who can only study and think about school.

Every time I see this thread, I think it ends in “lose your virginity?”

Oops?

^hahaha!! thats hillarious!

holds a bit of truth

oops!

All the people that make chance threads and fret about trivial problems are extremely annoying. If I were an admissions officer and read this website, I would make a hobby of tracking down application files and torching them. Most admissions officer are probably not so vindictive.
