Does study away increase my chance?

Hi guys, there are a lot of students here at my college choose to study away in other peer institutions. I think I can apply to “study away” at the university which I wish to transfer to and study there for a semester or two. Will it greatly increase my chance if I can get a pretty good GPA there?

If you’re just doing it for the gpa, I wouldn’t recommend it. The rigor of coursework taken abroad can vary widely and your gpa may be looked at with some skepticism. For instance, premed students are counseled not to take Med school prerequisite coursework abroad due to this problem.
