Does such thing exist?

I want the battery life, the customer service, the laptop case, the GUI of a 17 inch MacBook Pro.
I want the gaming options of a Windows XP.
Then I also want the hard drive security/encryption/memory footprint of a Linux.
All on a 15 inch screen laptop thats relatively cheap.

Does such thing exist?
I just cant decide on OSX/WINDOWS/LINUX/PC/APPLE since they all have their pros and cons.

I suppose the closest thing is probably either the 15 inch Macbook Pro or the HP Envy 14. You can install Ubuntu or some kind of linux distro if you want.

Both have:
-excellent battery life
-aluminum chassis
-can play games, with the proper OS
-if you want HDD security, you can use Truecrypt (free) or Bitlocker (windows ultimate only) to encrypt your hard drive. Nobody can access your hard drive without a special key.

The “cheap” option will be difficult to find. You’ll be going over $1000. I don’t understand what you mean by GUI of 17’’ MBP since they all run OSX…

So… Macbook Pro 15, Envy 14, Envy 15, and Acer Aspire 5820tg. There’s always a compromise. You can download XP, W7, and Linux on almost any computer. Plus don’t go for quad core i7 processors since they’re power guzzlers. You could go for a low voltage processor and gain more battery life.

Customer service… hmm… it will never be perfect. Just rely on your friends or research things that you need. As for security, just use good internet habits and use update your antivirus. (My opinion.)

I thought he meant “security” as in, tamper proof data. If you have sensitive data on your drive, BitLocker or Truecrypt is a MUST have. If you mean general security while surfing the web, let me tell you this: common sense is the BEST weapon against viruses, malware, etc. I never got any kind of malware just by visiting a website. Viruses and trojans work by relying on the stupidity of the users. Just don’t go to spam sites, porn sites, torrents, any file sharing sites, or hack sites and I’ll GUARANTEE you will NOT get some form of malware.

Nope – you can only have one of the four things you wish for. :)
