Does super-scoring still work like this at highly selective schools?

If I understand right, if you submit multiple ACT tests and the school super scores then they will only look at your highest score in each test. This will then be looked at, and a new composite made.

However lets say on one of the tests I got a 36 (replacing a previous 34) on the math but 23’s on the other sections. Do selective college admissions people see that? Does that look bad?

What about a 31?

This is all highly hypothetical, this isnt my current situation.

Very few schools super score the ACT. For the ones that do, it works like you said in the first paragraph. For selective colleges, a 36 in math will not displace a 23 on the other sections. But since this post is hypothetical, the entire question is pointless. Get a 36 on all sections and don’t worry about the what-ifs.

If I see a 36 and 23s on the other 3 sections, I see C26.

Skieurope is right: get 36 on all sections.
