I am a Junior with a 93 GPA who has never taken a CP class, I currently have a schedule with three honors and an AP. One of those classes is Hn Algebra 2, and I am doing incredibly poorly, and the class will tank my GPA, and I really want to switch to a CP (the school operates on a half year block schedule, so I’m still relatively new to the class.)
This would mean also taking CP Pre-Calc and graduating with having taken 4 Ap’s, 2 Cp’s and the rest Honors. How much would this affect the colleges I would be eligible for?
I am not thinking too competitively, I like McGil, GW, and BU. Would taking half of my Math Classes as CP’s prevent my going to places about as prestigious as those? (I’m also the Editor-in-Chief of my School Newspaper and have a summer paid-internship with a proffesor at Harvard University.)
