Does technical school count as a college education?

<p>I’m going to go with the who URM, low income, first generation deal on my application. However, I’m kind of confused. My father dropped out of HS and got his GED. He went to a technical school for auto training after that. On the Common App would this equate to “Vocational/Technical?” Also - am I still a first generation college student, or does technical school count as a college education?</p>

<p>Vote no. Your father did not earn a college degree. He earned certification for a set of skills learned for a job.</p>
