I couldn’t do cross country this year because I caught an early form of bacterial meningitis and subsequently had a PICC line placed in my arm for antibiotics. The doctor told me that I couldn’t do any physical activity so I was thinking of becoming team manager but then I realized I would be out in the heat for a while which my doctor advised against because the PICC line could get infected from the sweat. Do you think colleges would understand this or would they still have liked to see me become manager even though I couldn’t? I am definitely going to do run cross country next year though.
