<p>My D has received automatic reminder emails saying that the info on her common app will be deleted if it is not submitted within two months after she started it. Is this really true?</p>
<p>My experience is that data was not archived until the summer after the school year in which the applications were started, but they may be stepping that schedule up. It’s best to take these kinds of warnings seriously and keep both a current print preview version and a back up copy of every file you upload to your common app account.</p>
<p>The common app FAQ currently says, “each year in June, all current year applications will be deleted from the database in preparation for the next application season. If you choose not to submit an application to a school, your application will simply be deleted on or about July 1. No further action needs to be taken on your part.”</p>
