<p>Can’t speak for Northeastern specifically but I have never heard of a school where tuition is cut in half after freshman year.</p>
<p>No, the cost of attending NEU does not decrease, and like most colleges has been increasing each year. But, most students do co-ops and co-ops last 6 months (either the first half of the year or the last half of the year). Students do not pay tuition while on co-op so once they start doing co-ops they will not be as paying as much tuition (per year). However, students typically take a few courses during the summer session, so it is not cut in half although the annual cost is still reduced.</p>
<p>I’ll just add to scansmom though do NOT forget the cost of housing during coops. If you are from out of the area you will most likely still be living in the dorm and need to plan for that expense.</p>
