Does the Univ of South Carolina have an Engineering co-op program?

Does anyone know if the University of South Carolina has an Engineering co-op program? Its website is somewhat nebulous… Thanks!

I got a letter from the Chemical Engineering department that had somethig about co-ops. I don’t remember the exact words but ChemE has it at the very least.

jmarietol: Thanks for the info! Good to know that the Chemical Engineering Dept. has co-op. If anyone knows if the other engineering departments (civil, mechanical, etc…) participate in a co-op program, I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

No problem! Here’s something else that I found on the USC site ([Look for Internships & Co-ops](<a href=“Career Center - Career Center | University of South Carolina”>Career Center - Career Center | University of South Carolina)). From the letter I received:

Hope this helps you out.

We went to a McNairs dinner the fall and asked specifically about co-op program. We were told they definitely do not have a co-op program.

While there is no formal or required co-op program, it certainly is possible to work that out if that is something you are interested in. The sooner you start formulating those plans, though, the better. The Career Center here is great, and has more info at their website: [Look for Internships & Co-ops](<a href=“Career Center - Career Center | University of South Carolina”>Career Center - Career Center | University of South Carolina). If you’re looking for Engineering-specific information, you could contact the College of Engineering’s division of the career center- they have their own subunit located in the college. They’re very helpful! Here’s their site: [USC CEC > Career Center](<a href=“College of Engineering and Computing - College of Engineering and Computing | University of South Carolina”>College of Engineering and Computing - College of Engineering and Computing | University of South Carolina)
