If you take Calc the “summer” before your a freshman for credit you run the risk of being considered a transfer student. Be careful about this. Even call and make sure. I would maybe look at the AP stats and consider pre Calc or Calc. (I don’t know where your at with math). Even with business you want to take the highest math you can for Michigan. It’s a Calc driven school. It also shows rigor compared to AP stats. You can take AP stats somewhere for fun. It’s considered by most colleges as an essay A AP course without the rigor. My son couldn’t get it during the school year so he took it at Northwestern. The whole year in 3 weeks.
For Michigan it’s about course selection, Rigor of those courses and grades then a great essay.
