<p>I believe Management Information Systems (MIS) and CIS are the same, certain colleges call them one or the other.</p>

<p>The second link on google yesterday when I skimmed explained that CS and MIS are different at UT, and that even if another institution offers both CS and MIS, the way UT splits them may be different-- MIS is in McCombs, for example, and may be harder to gain admission to.</p>
