Does this award classify as a school or national award

Hey,

Well i did this Math contest and i came in the top 2 % in the nation… on the Common Application, it asks us to list our academic awards and asks us to specify what type of award it is. What would this classify as? … Its not really a school award… but then again, I don’t know.

PS: What does the “PG” stand for when it asks us to check which grade the award applies to… there is a “PG” box… thanks.

someone please answer

PG: maybe post-grad?

Yes, PG means post-graduate, a year 13 taken at some private schools to furthur ready one for college.

And, yes if your award was for placing in the top 2% nationwide of something, you can consider it national level. (However if it is SAT related, top 2% can mean thousands, and is not so special.)

Top 2% in nation=National

i see… any other opinions?

Seriously? It says “in the nation.” How could it possibly be school only? It is without a doubt national.
