Does this count as alumni for ivy leagues?

I’m applying for undergraduate admissions, my dad received his master degree from one of the ivy schools, does that even count as alumni? I heard only undergrad counts?
The same question goes for the person writing my recommendation letter too, he received his master and PhD degrees from one of the ivy schools, will that even help me for admissions?

Thanks a lot.

1) Usually legacy status isn’t conferred in those situations
2) the letter writer’s pedigree is irrelevant. A 2nd year teacher’s enthusiastic letter about you is more important than somebody who knows you less but came from your target school. the letter is about YOU and not the writer – don’t forget that.
