Does this count as volunteering/community service?

I volunteered for two years as a camp counselor at a country club right by my house. I spent the time supervising campers and collaborating with other counselors, leading the campers in activities. I did this without pay. I just don’t know if it would be considered community service because its not like I’m helping the poor. Most the kids are pretty affluent if they are a member of the country club. I did about 126 hours over two summers.

Yes. Unpaid work by definition is “volunteering” Helping others in need by definition is “community service.” I’ll exclude kids from the example because most are not wealthy in their own right. So as an example, wealthy seniors might need help with shopping or food preparation, and helping them without pay is no less a service.
