<p>I go to a really competitive high school of the arts and I do cinema. Does this go on my EC’s? I know that by definition it wouldn’t but where else could I show how devoted I am to it (essay aside)?</p>
<p>It depends on what it means to “do cinema.” Do you mean that you take classes in cinema?</p>
<p>yeah but it’s a huge part of the curriculum it’s 20 hours a week because it’s an arts major high school. we technically make the movies beyond school hours.</p>
<p>I think that if the movies are made for classes, then you really can’t say that they are extracurricular. If you make them independently or for, say, a local student film progarm (not a class in school), then they can absolutely be reported as extracurricular activities. </p>
<p>Otherwise, I think you want to talk about the movies you make for class somewhere other than the Extracurricular Activities section of your application.</p>
