I’m very interested in astronomy (I plan to be an astronaut, possibly doing astronomy up there), and I was looking around for some ECs to accompany AP Classes and SAT scores. I found this:
[Galaxy Explorers: Teen Internship & Volunteer Program - Chabot Space & Science Center](http://www.galaxyexplorers.org/about.asp)

From what I’ve heard, most internships are only in the summer. And this program is talking about providing teens with “work experience,” which I thought was more of a job thing than a science program thing. Still, it looks interesting to me. Is this the right kind of program to apply to, and that colleges want to see?
