Does this hurt chances?

As an expat living abroad, I go to an international school that costs around 45000 a year… It is not my parents who pay this, they could never afford to. As most students who attend these type of schools, the company who employs my dad pays for it. Does coming from an extremely expensive private school hurt chances?

No, not really. Don’t sweat the little details; there are far more important details when applying to colleges.

Why should it? Colleges want to know if you can handle their work and graduate and not be dysfunctional once you arrive and that your tuition bill can be paid.

Like JAT said, you should be focusing on your transcript, apps and personal statements.

Schools may look at the reputation and academic strenuousness of the high school you are attending, but not the cost.
