does this hurt my chances at grad for spanish

i was originally going to do a full year abroad in a spanish speaking country
yet after meeting friends and visiting
i think i want to take a fall semester at american university of bulgaria and take some classes on linguistics, european poly sci
and then take a spring semester in a spanish speaking country…does it look bad if i choose a country for half of a year somewhat unrelated to spanish, although it will involve language study(bulgarian/linguistics/EU terminology courses)? being a spanish major, i want to do what is best, and although a year in spain or w/e is probably the right answer, i cant help but wonder how bad bulgaria would be frowned upon by admissions…i mean a whole year abroad is to be commended, no matter where you go right? some spanish majors supposedly dont even go abroad from what i have heard (although that probably isnt the smartest thing) ahhhh the isep app is due jan 22nd i need advice!

Go to Bulgaria. Have fun. Stop stressing.

Go to Bulgaria. Half a year is enough. Check out Madrid as a place to go for the other half. Great city.

Sounds like fun. :)
