Does this justify why I took a less challenging subject?

Hello!
I was hoping to get your thoughts on what an admissions officer might think about my particular circumstance.

I took Math Studies, as opposed to SL or HL, for the sole reason that I would have time to pursue a college level calculus course. By taking SL or HL, I would risk not performing as well in my calculus course due to time constraints, homework and internal assessments.

I am applying for a business major and Math is considered an important subject, and I was wondering what you thought an admissions officers might think about my decision.
I’d appreciate any thoughts!

I think concurrent enrollment in a college calculus course would explain taking a lesser high school math course simultaneously.

Thanks for your thoughts physicsnut1!

You took a relevant course. That is important, so I don’t feel that you even need to justify it. You did fine by making that decision.
