I am a transfer student and my top school is American University, for Spring 2014.
Although my GPA isn’t great (because of my freshman year… but my sophomore grades are great), I have good essays, good recommendations, and I’m applying to a not so popular major.

I have heard that the admissions council likes people who show a lot of interest in the school

So I’ve emailed an admissions counselor a couple of times about questions I’ve had.

And November 5th, they just so happen to be having an info session in the city I live in - go figure.
Does it look good that I’m attending? Will they take note in my file that I attended?
