Does this mean i am a "development case"?

I’m applying early to a top Northeastern university and one of my parents is an alumna and high-profile individual (in the newspapers, well known by many, you get the gist)

I toured the university with said parent and I was given a private tour with someone from the “parent connections” department, and I received an interview from a director of one of their many schools even though this college does NOT offer on-campus interviews to applicants. We talked for about 45 minutes and it was pretty unclear as to why this particular person was interviewing me.

Am I a development case? What do these things mean? Appreciate the responses, thanks!

If you parent is a person with power, influence, reach, or money…you are a dev case. It seems to me that you are somewhat a dev case from what you have stated.
