I took an actual Math 2 exam from my test prep center (taking Math II in 2 days!). I got a terrible raw score of 34.75/50. However, when I looked up the scoring scale in the back, a raw score of 35 is a scaled score of 740. Does this curve seem accurate? I’m sure it was an actual previously administered SAT Math 2 exam.

Does that mean that the curve is accurate and that the exam as a whole was just difficult, which is why a 35 raw score -> 740?

I’m aiming for 750+ BTW. I was expecting low 700’s/high 600’s with a 34.75, especially since people say for 800 you can only get 4-5 wrong whereas on this exam 800 you could get 7-9 wrong…

Is it just that this exam was harder, which is why the curve was easier which is why my 34.75 -> 740?
