For the may 1st deadline i chose to go with a school that would require me to begin in the spring rather than fall, but now i am wondering if i would have been better off at one of my other choices. I am considering transferring, but one of the schools I’m considering doesn’t take spring transfers, meaning I would have to wait until after i went to the guarantee transfer school. Would the fact that I had attended two colleges in one year hurt my chances at transferring again? The schools i am looking at are all generally selective with acceptance rates around 30%

Generally no, just a lot of paperwork. However, you should check with the school.
Most selective schools are not transfer guaranteed. If they have articulation agreements, they would require you to obtain AS or AA degree before you transfer.
