Hey guys and girls,

I am a bit confused about whether or not I can transfer into sophomore level standing for a computer science major. On one page, they say you must have 60 transferable units. On another, they say you are eligible to transfer from second-semester freshman to senior level.

Here’s the links:
at least 60 credits…
[Transfer Admission, Selection and Preparation](Academic Resources | Office of Undergraduate Admissions | UCI)

For any level…
[College Search - University of California: Irvine - UCI - Admission](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3887&profileId=1)

Also, when I was filing out my UC application earlier, I checked the box for sophomore transfer. After I did, a few of the UC’s faded out so I could not select them. UCI was not one of these (Cal, LA, SD were).

I’m a bit confused and if anyone has any insight to the correct answer I’d greatly appreciate it.
I would rather transfer as a sophomore because there are fewer pre-reqs that I would have to do at my current school.
