Does UCLA have dual degree, as in BA/MA???

I will be going to UCLA in the fall as a pre-business econ major.

I was also accepted to Pepperdine and saw they had a 5 year, bachelors and masters in business administration program.

Does UCLA have anything like this in the Econ dept teaming with Anderson.???

Yes UCLA does have a dual bachelors and masters program. But it’s not like you can just pick up a form, sign the dotted line, and then be in the program. You do have to fill out forms but you then have to wait to be nominated by the department…and the prerequisites aren’t easy. You need a UCLA GPA of 3.5 and major GPA of 3.5…and some departments will require a 3.6 or higher in certain classes…that’s just to be eligible for the program.
The program is called Departmental Scholar.

Here’s a quote from the UCLA honors webpage:
“The Departmental Scholar Program (DSP) allows exceptional juniors and seniors to pursue the bachelor’s and master’s degrees simultaneously. Nomination as a Departmental Scholar is an honor that carries practical benefits-- the graduate application process is simplified and students may be admitted to the DSP during any academic quarter. Finally, the Departmental Scholar Program offers advanced students access to graduate level classes and an opportunity to do graduate level research under the direct supervision of UCLA’s distinguished faculty.”
