Hi. I was just wondering if my stats are qualified enough to get into UCLA.

Sat2: N/A

As everyone has stated, if you live in California you will have a greater chance of gaining acceptance. However, I would suggest that you raise your SAT score. A UCLA applicant’s average SAT score is within the 2,000’s so if you could raise your score within those numbers I would say you would have a fair shot. Have you taken the ACTs? What is your class rank?

UCLA, despite the constant perpetuation of the myth, actually accepts OOS students at a higher rate than in state students. All of the UCs are now anxious to have more full pay OOS students as they desperately need the money.

Your current stats don’t make you a likely admit, but if you raise your SAT by 100 points or so and your UC GPA is at least 4.2, you’re in the running.

O ok, well you definitely have a decent class rank:) However, I would try to take the ACTs. Maybe you will do better on it than you did on the SATs and can submit that score as an alternative. If that’s not preferable, I would advise that you retake the SATs. In the end, I believe you will have a good shot. Best of luck!

Try the ACT to see what happens. Your score should be similar to your SAT score, but you never know. If your ACT or your next SAT goes well, you have a great shot.
