How many do they expect from teachers? Do they expect one from counselors? Are letters of recommendation requirements unique to different majors?

Also, what are some of the more competitive majors in relation to admission? Do most people apply for English, Psychology, etc?

Thank you for all your help.

all they ask for is one and they dont want anymore than two or three, even though they kind of stress just one. i think you also need a secondary school report. its all listed on the website

They prefer one letter of rec, and the counselor statement, though they do accept more. There really isn’t much that more thaan one letter of recomendation can do unless your teacher and counselor have no idea who you are at all, and if this is the case you should seriously consider choosing another teacher. On the counselor front, if the counselor doesn’t know you, or there is something that you want included in the letter, write them a note on the request form, or google “Letter of Recomendation Request Form” and find one that lets you fill in some of your bio.

To answer your other question, the major you list on your application won’t have any effect on admissions. They simply use it to assign you to an advisor if you are accepted. In fact, most students don’t start taking courses specific to their major until their junior year.
