Does UPitt have this major?

I started their application and I cant seem to find Education as my intended major. I already looked through their college of education website. Why cant I select it?

That is weird that the School of Education doesn’t appear as one of the selections in the drop-down menu. Call the admissions office and ask. There may be special scholarships associated with majoring in education, so if that’s what you intend to study, it’s important that they know.

yeah it is just, school of arts and sciences, engineering, nursing, and business administration

According to the web site, you must apply through the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Best to give a call ASAP.

all im doing is looking to become a teacher ha and it seems like it is a challenge just to find the right application for them

I believe Pitt’s School of Education is mostly a graduate school. It may not be right school for you if you want an undergraduate degree in education.

well i emailed them and she gave me a link to their website…do you think they have a education program?

I’m answering this as a mom who has been on this planet for a long time.

E-mail is not the be-all and end-all of communication. You should pick up the phone and call Pitt and speak to someone who works there, rather than try to get your questions answered by anonymous people on a bulletin board. I’ll repeat my earlier advice: Call OAFA as soon as possible.

Look, I’m sorry if I sound harsh. I know kids your age aren’t used to telephoning. And it’s a hassle to leave voice mail sometimes. But because you didn’t get a satisfactory answer via e-mail, you should use another method.
