Does use of similar examples matter?

Is the world changing for the better?
I could only think of examples from novels for my essay. One example is from Tale of Two Cities in which the French Revolution finally becomes a disaster. The other is from Frankenstein, about tragedy caused by the man-made monster. Though both examples come from literature, they are from different aspects. However, I’m still a little concerned about overlap of examples.

Please help me. I want to get at least 11 or 12.

Given that the readers are high school and college English teachers, I think that they would appreciate two examples from Literature.

It is honestly more about your writing ability than where your sources come from. Good luck!

the examples you use are really not important. In fact ‘what’ you write about isn’t even truly graded (to an extent), but the ‘how’ it is written is what they are looking for. If your essay is well thought out, you clearly make your argument, the essay is well organized, and does not have grammar or punctuation errors, that will get you an 11 or 12.

Don’t worry, the graders will not have time to think “hm, this student did a great job, but I’m going to take a point away because both examples were from literature”. In fact, they might be impressed that you recall and understood those novels well enough to relate your essay back to (although they won’t give you any points for it).

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.
