<p>So far, My GPA is between 3.4 and 3.5 with 62 units because I got one C on my major course.</p>
<p>If I want to transfer to some well know universities such as USC, NYU, BU or UMiami, would they consider that there is a reasonable low GPA because I took 5 classes plus part-time job, PTK, tutor in one semester? I know there are lot of people can performance better in same situation, but I still need to consider money issue without financial aid. </p>
<p>If this GPA is too low to reach those universities I mentioned above, I may change my targets to some OK schools such as U of Oregon, Baylor, or IUB…</p>
<p>You should be fine for BU and UMiami. USC’s average transfer GPA is a 3.7. NYU is probably as competitive, but I don’t know their stats to say.
Complaining to the universities wouldn’t be your best bet. They don’t want to hear that you had too much to juggle in a certain semester; it’s your job to make sure that doesn’t happen and/or you can handle it.
Apply to safeties and not as top notch schools as a backup.</p>
<p>Thanks, Greens. So far, I gave up my application to those prestige universities. NYU and USU probably are my top choices at all. I would apply both of them, and some safeties such as BU, Umiami, UC irvine, U of San Francisco, Drexel, and Loyola University Chicago. Any suggestion for my choice? I wish go to a urban area university which has OK reputation.</p>
<p>Its worth a try applying to the school on your list, you seem to juggle you classload and your e.c.'s pretty well, that might be in your favor. Do look at some more middle tier schools, maybe state schools in your area?</p>
<p>I’m going to say your in UMiami for sure ( enjoy the sun), your in BU for sure, probably USC and NYU( depending on what school you apply to if Stern then no)</p>
