Does "withdrew by petition" look bad on application?

<p>I might withdraw from my summer course and have a “withdrew via petition, summer 2006” on my application. Is this bad?</p>

<p>Many schools will ask you to explain it; even if they don’t, you probably should (if it appears on your LSDAS report). I think it honestly depends on the reason.</p>

<p>Just make something up. THey don’t really care as long as there is no trend and the rest of your app is good.</p>
