<p>No, the award is for each academic year only. You don’t earn it - you lose it.</p>

<p>^^Correct, you can use your total dollars for the entire academic year but not into the next academic year. eg if you decide to take a summer session and have left over work/study dollars from Fall - Spring you should be able to continue to use those but come fall it would start all over based on that year’s finaid award and any unused dollars from the previous year are lost.</p>

<p>Check your school. Some schools do not use Work Study money to fund summer jobs. Of those that do…some include the summer term with the PREVIOUS school year and others with the UPCOMING school year. </p>
