Hi , I am from Bulgaria and I want to go to Yale University some time in the future, but there is one problem : The BIG difference between USA salaries and Bulgarian salaries, average monthly salary in the USA - 3000 to 4000 dollars ? average monthly salary in Bulgaria - 600-700 leva which is around 400-500 dollars. Our average salary might seem little, but actually you can get most of the things you need with it and even have some spare money left. But since Yale costs 60 000 dollars a year and my family makes maybe 4000 dollars a year ( pretty average here ) I have NO CHANCE to pay for my University. I saw in Yale University’s official site that if your family income is less than 65 000$ you don’t have to pay anything and go there for free as the university takes care for all your troubles, but it doesn’t say if it’s the same for international Students so thats why I am asking you this : Does Yale offer financial aid to International Students?

A 0.73 second Google search turned up this: [Are international students eligible for financial aid? If so, how do I apply? | Yale College Admissions](http://admissions.yale.edu/faq/are-international-students-eligible-financial-aid-if-so-how-do-i-apply)

Yale does offer aid to international students. Keep in mind that they also require a student contribution. You would have to pay that. Also, Yale accepts less than 10% of those who apply with probably a lower %age of internationals accepted who apply. Your first hurdle would be to get accepted…which is not a sure thing for most anyone.

Yes, I understand, thanks for the help! I am going to apply to every Ivy League University with my IB diploma… I guess the IB diploma is a plus?

Sure, but most people applying to schools like Y and similar schools have many pluses on their application as well.

Think about it, only a handful of US colleges offer FA to Intl. applicants. The competition for admissions to these schools is extremely high for US applicants, how competitive do you imagine it is for Intl. students?
