Does Yale REA give interviews to everyone

I know that 9k out of ~50k applicants get interviewed in total every year, but how many of those are REA. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of posts about people getting interviews for REA

No.

Well, they do say in the podcast that the REA pool is generally much stronger so maybe that is why. Maybe 50 percent of the 7000 or so are viable candidates and they need to know more about 50 percent of the 3500? These are just guesses except for the around 7000 applicants. I think they had 6700 SCEA last year and 8000 the year before when it was still TO.

Obviously no.

Because of limited interviewing capacity, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions prioritizes interviews for students for whom the Admissions Committee needs more information.

Prospective students may not request an interview; alumni and student interviewers contact applicants after their admissions materials are submitted.
