Does Yale recruit for sailing?

I know that Ivies don’t give out athletic scholarships but do they recruit for sailing?
Thanks

Send your info-credentials-video-wins to the coach. Don’t expect athletic scholarship money. However, very strong academics-SAT and family financial need is how Yale aweards substantial grants. The info on the coaches is on the Yale atheltics website, choose the sport, then see if there is a form for prospective recruits, but also send the a seperate email to the head coach with info above.

Don’t forget the personalized email

The above is almost correct. If you cut out the first six words. Family financial need is how Yale awards substantial grants. Nothing else is taken into account.

Of course, you have to be admitted, too, and THAT generally takes very strong academics or some other desirable very strong skill. For a world-class sailor – which is what I think it would take to get serious recruitment interest for sailing – merely strong academics might be enough.

If you are legitimate candidate for Yale and an extremely strong sailor, and the coach wants you, sailing may well help you get accepted. If any part of that isn’t completely true, probably not.
