Does your major affect merit scholarships?

<p>Does your major affect merit scholarships? For example, I was accepted Pre-Communication Science (an uncommon major), so would that affect merit scholarships?</p>

<p>It only does in 2 ways:</p>

<p>1) For the Chancellor’s Scholars, they try to have a diverse group of scholars based on a variety of things (gender, home state, etc.) INCLUDING major
2) Certain majors and schools (ex. Nursing, Engineering) have additional money they give specifically to their students. By not being part of those schools, you are not eligible for those additional scholarships.</p>
