Doesn't anybody like pro basketball on here?

There are baseball, football, tennis, soccer, and hockey threads.

Where are the basketball threads?

Steph Curry is the most entertaining athlete playing right now.

Where is the appreciation?

Anyway… Harrison Barnes is featured in a 10 second video. I like it.

We have to have some Warrior fans here.

I love watching Steph Curry play! But I live on the East Coast and don’t get that many Warriors games. :frowning: Whenever I hear his name, I always think about all the coaches who told him he couldn’t play D1 ball, let alone think about pro ball. How many D1 coaches passed him up…

All about those Spurs.

I do. My husband and and I are huge Thunder fans as is my son who now lives in SC. Becoming more and more of a Russell Westbrook fan. Hoping for a good game tonight against the warriors (& yes, Curry is pretty amazing).

Actually debating buying tickets for our home game against the Warriors at the end of the month. They’ll be pricey (pretty much all season ticket holders and the o n oh tickets available are resales), but for our one live game we try and go to each year, it is the one I’m leaning toward.

Yup…I’m a Warriors fan. Have been all my life. As a kid, I remember going to games at the Cow Palace and SF Civic Auditorium prior to their late 60’s move to Oakland. It has been extraordinary to see them these last couple of years. Steph is so awesome both on and off the court.

I love sports but have never been a huge basketball fan. We have seasons’ tickets for hockey and basketball but I admit that I go to very few of the Raptors games. It’s not that they’re not entertaining, they are actually and they’re shorter than hockey so that’s a positive. The team is doing very well this year and everyone is excited about the All Star festivities in town next weekend.

Steph Curry! Amazing!

We are a bball family. Used to be Nets fans before they traded away everyone who was good (although I do like Brook Lopez) and then moved to Brooklyn. We could get to the Meadowlands very easily and have pretty good seats for not an outrageous amount of money. Brooklyn would be much more difficult and expensive to get to, plus the tickets are much more costly. S did go to one game in Brooklyn and hated the arena.

So we have adopted the Thunder as our team. Love KD and Westbrook.

But this year belongs to Curry. He is absolutely unbelievable. We do seem to be able to get a lot of Warriors games here, so after a “rousin’ round of Jeopardy”, we start channel surfing to see which NBA game is being broadcast that night.

I also really look forward to March Madness. Those guys put their hearts and souls into every game, since it’s win or go home. Every year there are so many amazing plays, shots and stories. Pretty soon it will be time for lderochi to set up the CC pool again!

DAT GAME DOE

We’re Blazers fans, and loved the beat down they gave the Warriors a couple of weeks ago. But really— every bball fan has got to be a Steph Curry fan these days. He. Is. Amazing.

Yeah its just exciting to watch. Kind of why the NFL is going to trash. Its all OFFENSE no DEFENSE. Who wants to watch the spurs hold a team to 90 when you can watch the warriors score 120

Can Steph Curry be any more amazing!!!

Me! I watch the Spurs every game they play. Stephen Curry had such an amazing night (we switched over once the Spurs game was over) and deserves all the praise, but are y’all aware of what Tim Duncan did last night? Only the 5th player in NBA history to get 3,000 blocks (that’s up there with Mutumbo and Abdul-Jabbar) and now no. 6 in rebounds, passing Karl Malone.

I LOVE my no-drama team. Good fundamentals, good people, a joy to watch.

@Youdon’tsay

It says nothing of Timmy on ESPN, it’s all about the curry. And you are a spurs fan. I was refering to the other 90 something percent that watch basketball

Oh, and OKC for the championship. As much as I love the warriors OKC is a tough matchup as we just saw, and they are only getting better. In a 7 game series that is.

I love Durant cuz he is a Longhorn. OKC is my second-favorite team.

I have been a long time Dwyane Wade fan but never really been a fan of a particular team. If anything I am a clippers fan

Warriors because of Curry and Festus Ezeli.

Today’s New York Times crossword puzzle had a basketball theme. It was a really slog for me since I discovered I don’t know any of the basketball sports terms. (They were the equivalent of “first down” or “field goal” or “foul ball” or “stealing bases” - I don’t think they were particularly obscure.

I spent much of my youth OBSESSED with basketball. The problem is today in the NBA they don’t really play basketball…its a game that kind of looks like basketball, but since the offenses are focused on 3 point shots, it lacks the intricate passing and movement that made the game interesting. The old name for shots from where the 3-point line is now was " bad shots.". They’ve taken the shots that only the laziest and most selfish players would take, and they’ve made them the centerpiece of the game.

And stay off my lawn, too.

^^^ Not the Spurs! They pass and pass.
