Dogs strike at Iditarod

The bigger story than the winner, Pete Kaiser winning after 9 days, 12 hours, 39 minutes and 6 seconds; was: pets are peeved.

Two dogs on the team leading the race started fighting, their owner started yelling and the team basically said “You can’t talk to us like that.”

“I yelled at Joee and everybody heard Daddy yelling, which doesn’t happen," said the 39-year-old musher who placed second in last year’s Iditarod. “And then they wouldn’t go anymore, anywhere. So we camped here and we’ll see what happens.”

We did a dog sled Nordic adventure in Norway to the northern lights. Any glamour of this sport left me immediately. Coldest I have ever been. Their dogs did seem to like running.

Good for the dogs. I once lost my temper calling my two into the house. They planted themselves in the yard and gazed at me until I apologized and called them in calmly. There’s a lot of pressure to live up to them.

Thanks for sharing- made me smile!

The dogs told their owner…I can’t say that on CC. :))

Dogs are very sensitive animals.

^^^^But, they are the best people.

My dog has a similar reaction whenever I try to get her to fetch something. Lassie she ain’t.
