In June, I got a 2170 (750 W, 680 M, 740 CR) and in December I got a 2110 (710 CR, 680 M, and 720 W). Any time studying went into studying for SAT Subject tests that I took in between those dates… so I went a pretty long time without even looking at the SAT so I should’ve known that it wouldn’t have gone up. I hoped that I would at least raise my math for a better super-score, but it stayed exactly the same.

How does doing worse the second try affect admission? Do adcoms view it in the same way as they would going from a 2110 to a 2170 or are they going to look at the decrease negatively? I’m applying to UCLA/Berkeley/UCSD, and I think both scores are higher than the average accepted applicant at all three.
