I just wanted to know what are the benefits of being a domestic applicant applying to graduate school especially in the science and technology fields, mainly math?

Do you mean applying as someone living in the States? I.e. with your grandmother’s address and an American social security number? If so, 1) ‘International’ applicants usually have to get their admissions materials in as much as a month early–regardless of their citizenship. 2) As a domestic applicant you are eligible for more financial aid, which might become important if you don’t get the fellowship you’re looking for. 3) A German-American friend of mine asked and you will not be penalized for low verbals scores as an American raised abroad, if that worries you. Helpful?

Very helpful.
