On TV this afternoon, I watched the end of Point Break, which featured Gary Busey just a couple of years after his bike crash and TBI. He really has aged and looks like he’s had too much plastic surgery. I think that’s why he didn’t show any facial reaction to MeatLoaf’s tirade.

I should say that I LOVE the Loaf and have since I was a teenager. He throws a damned fine concert… Even my 12 year old loves Mr. Meat and sings along to his songs. However, his outburst - over PAINT! - did unnerve me. I was relieved when he apologized in what seemed to be a genuine way to Gary.

I have been very impressed by Lil John. As a white Jewish female in my 50’s, I had never heard of him before this show. I find him to be bright, focused and a team player. I thought he managed well on his leader week and delegated well. I also never heard of John Rich but think that he just seems like a really nice guy.

I was glad to see Richard Hatch go. I don’t watch Survivor but I know who he is. He really gives me the creeps and I hated how mean he was to David Cassidy, who I adored when I was 12.

I felt badly that the women decided to fire someone but I knew it was happening when it was only 10:40 and the winner had already been announced.

To respond to your comment of a few weeks ago (29), I am sorry that I just got back to this thread. I felt that some of the comments made to and about Lisa would not have been made if she had been the same race as the other women. I am NOT saying that Lisa didn’t deserve to be fired, as she clearly did and it was the right choice to do so, but I felt at the time that the things they were saying were mean and racially motivated. Unfortunately, I don’t remember any specifics at this point, I just remember the feeling I had.

Interesting, how all the men wanted Gary fired, but Donald didn’t want to do it. Seriously though, I’m no fan of Richard Hatch, but he is not on the same playing field as these other guys as far as celebrity. He is not an actor, a musician or sports figure, how was he expected to raise money? What connections does he have?
Oh, and I just LOVE NeNe, she is hysterical.

I am sooo rooting for the women, but Star can’t go soon enough (although I fear she’ll be sitting @ the finals table). She just rubs me the wrong way…wish Nene and her would go ahead already and get the fued on, but it looks like Nene and Latoya will be @ it next week…that doesn’t even seem like a fair fight, ha!

^^ @faithfirst2226: Gosh, you honestly sound like you’re talking about many people in my workplace! But I have to say that I also enjoy Star. She is intelligent and obviously knows how to play the game. NeNe really rubs me the wrong way because, as LaToya said last night (to be shown in the upcoming episode), and as I’ve always said of her when watching Housewives, she is a huge bully, plain and simple. I really believe her bark is worse than her bite, in all reality. Notice how quick she is to shed a tear or feel “hurt” or “offended”? She definitely uses her big mouth and her size to her advantage. As for Meatloaf’s meltdown last night, just WOW. I am really glad that Busey kept himself in check during the whole thing. That could have been way uglier than it was had he not done so.

Now that you mention it, Star doesn remind me of one of my ex co-workers…hmmmm…

I agree that Nene probably does have more bark than bite and she is a pot stirrer as well, but I would still rather have a day out w/ her than Star.

I LOVE Marlee and was so glad that she didn’t give in and tell the Trump not to fire a guy…want her to win it all.

I am so Trumped out from seeing him on all the political talk shows last week I just couldn’t stomach watching the show tonight. Which is a shame. I used to really enjoy it.

I though the women were going to lose the task. LaToya seems so passive-aggressive. I really don’t like her little girl act, she is beginning to get on my nerves. She is going to make NeNe become unglued. But I find NeNe hilarious. Calling Latoya a ghost made me LOL.

Mark McGrath said he took “full responsibility” for choosing the Pirate theme. Ivanka and Don Jr. clearly wanted Gary gone and lobbied to their dad that he (Gary) was the disruptive force and weak link (which has also been echoed by ALL his teammates for weeks now) and should be the one to be fired. Mark clearly made a noble but tactical mistake by saying he should be fired if the Pirate theme was the reason why they lost. I think Donald Trump still could have saved Mark IF he really wanted to. When Gary was emphatically stating that he never detained the executives, never pushed Mark out of the way, and never said anything inappropriate to the executive women during their initial meeting he could have played back the TAPE and seen he in fact did all the things he denied doing. Trump could have then fired Gary for lying because, as Trump has said repeatedly, he hates liars. The truth of the matter is it doesn’t matter if Mark is the more deserving competitor. Gary is the bigger celebrity and makes for better reality TV, and that’s why Trump found a way to save him one more time.

Jumping in. I like La Toya she has the same affect as her mom. as well as Michael. i didnt like her in the past so this is new.
I saw dionne in concert well over 20 years ago. She was playing in an industrial town and let us know it was beneath her. I have never forgotten. So I believed she was as portrayed on CA.
Gary seems like a crafty liar. I liked marks comment about looking inward, if Gary isnt a liar he is really brain damaged. I like marly the most. NeNe is funny, Star is interesting to watch. I am so simple that “players” fascinate me.

@ebeeeee: I wholeheartedly agree! I cannot believe that NeNe kept calling LaToya “Casper.” After she said it the first time she seemed to have an aha moment with it and found it fun and cute to keep on saying it. And her upcoming Michael comment is totally uncalled for as well. She is not a nice person and I generally despise people whose main tactic in back and forth bantering (i.e., arguing) is talking loudly above the other person(s), without any real argument of merit. Oh yes, and what about NeNe’s comment to LaToya that she wouldn’t be anything if not for her family’s name, or something to that effect? Just WHO is NeNe anyway?
