Done?

Y’all reckon decisions are all done by now? There might be some tweaking to make meet the FA budget left to do, but I’d think they’re all done.

For some odd reason, it makes me feel better. I don’t know why.

G’night.

I’d think it’s over now. I mean they may still be working on final FA details but it’d be a lot of work to get all those thousands of envelopes done and administration stuff. It makes me feel better as well. I think it’s because I know it’s over and now there’s nothing I can do to change it, I can only wait and hope for the best.

Can preliminary FA decisions also be made if the schools haven´t received 2009 tax returns, yet? I am asking, because I am an international student applying for FA and I still could not get tax returns for 2009, because it´s not typical to have them that early in my country.
If yes, how does it work? Do they simply use the estimated values from the PFS, give me an offer in the case I am accepted and I have to confirm my need with the tax return if I want to accept the offer?

Did you submit 2008 tax returns instead?

I’m pretty sure they already know who they’re going to accept. Someone said that every acceptance letter is different, telling you why they accepted you, ex. your essays were amazing, great recommendations, a sport, an instrument, etc.

I guess they should have some sort of QA process in place as they’ll mail out so many letters on March 10. They must be “checking it twice” to make sure all the materials are included, and going to the right people.

There’s a lot of horse trading going on the last few days between BS and the feeder schools

mhmm: horse trading? really? Is this fact? They really compare applicants?

I don’t know if what organizations like ABS do qualify “horse trading”. As reported by some CC’ers, ABC asked for their preference of schools they are applying to so they can place as many of their students as possible. I assume that’d involve “negoatiation” with the schools?

I agree that decisions are in, but not the financial aid stuff b.c we jus got in contact with the financial aid director from one of our schools

SSRS

I think that if you are applying for FA and a school contacts you around now, it is that you are in …
