You beat my stats so I’d say your in :)

but hes out of state…

i thought i wasn’t gonna get in out of state…but i did. I had lower test scores also.

In.

If you want to be sure, plug your stats into UCSD’s admission formula.

why do you want to go to SD? Aim higher b/c your stats are great.

I don’t know where else I could get into thats good. I honestly don’t really want to go to UCSD because they have NO athletic pride at all, and I’ll never get into UCLA just because I’m OOS. So yeah. I’m basically stuck.

california_love8: you should apply to UCLA because it is better than not trying at all. You never know these days, it might work in your favor.

my stats were way lower than yours bro and i got admitted for econ major. i only got 27 act composite.

what about as an ECE major? I think that I might actually want to get at least a degree in engineering as opposed to an econ major. So since engineering is usually harder, how much trouble will I have?

what major you’re admitted to has nothing to do with your acceptance woolrich.

sorry to bump this, but I’d really like to know if I have a good chance of getting in if I apply as either a BME, CE, or IE major. I’ve changed my major choice, so yeah, I need to know how I stand now because I hear its harder to get into some majors than others.

see my above post?

His major would affect his chances if it was in bioengineering (though not bioengineering: premed) . Your chances are pretty good for any of the engineering majors you listed. You’re a pretty strong candidate.

If you raise your testing scores, I’d say you could do a lot better than UCSD (by way of non-UC schools), although IB courses are not as valuable as AP ones. Raiser your testing scores, and you won’t need to waste your time with a UCSD application.

Seriously, what is wrong with 08!!! I think this year is the peaks of competitiveness for getting into a UC. I have people in my class saying how we’re full of nerds and i have the past two graduating class saying how 08 are workaholics and nerds. I’m thinking this year going to be crazy. T-T
