I’m like a junior in college, and I have absolutely no idea what I want to do in the future. It seems like in the past, I just liked to jump around and do things I find fun, then when it gets bit hard or boring, I’d quit. Such a quitter, I know, that’s bad, but because I’ve tried so many different things and have quitted from mostly everything I’ve done, this made me think I don’t like anything. I feel so passive about all this. I just want a stable career that may help me advance, and something I don’t mind doing too much. But since my requirements are so low, I’m not finding anything I’m willing to stick with for too long. Sigh… how should I improve my situation?

pick something. stick with it till you are good at it. pick something you have the potential to like too. and also something that can make you alot of money and get hired anywhere. like a business major

you can always speak with some of your good friends and ask them what they are doing and if they have any ideas for you. or you can schedule something with a career services person or an advisor and see what they can help you with as far as strengths and weaknesses in the fields that you like. just when you make the decision, stick with it.

what skills and attributes do you have?

specifically:

-Are you an extrovert or an introvert?

-Do you have good quantitative skills?

-Are you creative or by-the-book?

-Are you a skilled writer?

these types of questions will help you on your way…

for example:

Extroverts usually make good salespeople

With good quantitative skills, programming or actuarial work could be an option

Creative people might enjoy marketing

etc etc etc

-Are you an extrovert or an introvert?

introvert

-Do you have good quantitative skills?

not really

-Are you creative or by-the-book?

creative, but not too loose

-Are you a skilled writer?

i think so

anything else that should be considered?
