Don’t say “sorry” unless you absolutely positively are deeply regretful of what you have done and you have some involvement in what you are saying sorry for.

It’s way too overused today. Don’t say sorry if something is not your fault or if you aren’t actually sorry. People say sorry for every little thing today and its kind of ridiculous.

So as a final note, only be apologetic for things that you have actually had a part in and are genuinely sorry for.

I think it’s perfectly ironic this post comes from someone with a sn of imrightuarewrong… lol being right means never having to say you are sorry…

Yeah I do it all the time too. I don’t know why, I just don’t want to seem careless of others if there was an error on my behalf and I didn’t acknowledge it.

Compared to some of the other posts in this forum, this is very valid.

“Any of you received free spiralbound notebooks?”

“gobama!”

“This thread will not have over 10,000 posts by my 18th birthday”

“What is Favre doing?!”

“Redhead Rant”

“I just saw an above the influence commercial”

This is more topical than all of those threads, and yet you are not ■■■■■■■■ in them. If you don’t like the thread, don’t read it and don’t post in it.

My favorite apology is when I am not sorry for my action, but sorry they feel the way they do, such as “I am sorry you got angry when I was late.” The receiver often interprets it as I was sorry I was late, but no, read closely. I was sorry they got mad. This is a real skill to aquire and comes in very handy.
