Dordt College - International Student FinAid

Hi, I´m and international student applying to Dordt College for the Fall 2014 term. I have to submit a financial aid international form and a section asks the following:

"Enter the expected amount of annual support from the sources listed below. Enter amounts in U.S. dollars. Use an additional sheet of paper for explanations, if necessary. "

I just have 6000 dollars a year for college, this is the amount I have to put? I understand they use this for the VISA so does the government understand that the rest of the money is covered by scholarships and FinAid? What happens if the university finds this amount too low?

It is noteworthy that I plan to spend my summers at Campus and work so I will actually get like 9,000 a year.

Thank you for reading this.

How are you planning to make up the rest of the $34,000 COA?

Is the $6,000 for every year, or just freshman year? How much is your family able to pay?

Scholarships, FinAid and Summer jobs. $6,000 every year!

With an education visa you cannot work off-campus until after you complete your first year.

On campus job :)

You are not eligible for work-study as an intl. So an on campus job is extremely unlikely.

You have a bigger issue. In order to get the Visa you have to show that you have the cash in hand for all 4 years of school, living expenses, and travel to/from the country you live in.
