<p>My wireless speed is only 11.0 Mbps. During NSO, it was 54.0 Mbps. Has anyone else seen this change? I can’t play multiplayer games now because there’s too much lag :(</p>
<p>yeah same thing has happened to me. during NSO it was like 10 times faster.</p>
<p>Um, first off, it’s a bit silly to try to play any multiplayer game on wireless, except maybe Starcraft or something equally as old.</p>
<p>Second, talk to your RCC. He/she should have access to the communications closet for your dorm and see if a higher-bandwidth slot is available for the wireless. Then again, some dorms just might be stuck at 11 Mbps. Might be a good excuse to get your own router.</p>
<p>dorms aren’t stuck at 11 mb – most are capped to 35mb wired. the cluster computers and the labs (terman, tressider) are more likely to be at the full 100mb</p>
<p>wireless access is highly variable across campus. but your RCC would certainly be the first line of defense.</p>
