I thought it would be fun to have everyone state where they will be living comes this September. Also maybe someone with past experience can enlighten us and let us know what there is to look forward to.

My S will be in Serra at Stern Hall. He is very excited and noticed on College ******* that Stern was given a good rating.

Fun fact about Serra: it may be the only Stanford dorm to be covered by news outlets for its 2008 theme. MSNBC apparently had a story about it but it’s gone now

[Stanford Dorm Makes ‘Pun’ Of Palin - Worldnews.com](http://article.wn.com/view/2008/09/26/Stanford_Dorm_Makes_Pun_Of_Palin/)

the Daily story on it: [Stern dorm makes pun on Palin (“Serra Palin” theme in honor of Republican VP candidate)](<a href=“404 Not Found”>Stern dorm makes pun on Palin (“Serra Palin” theme in honor of Republican VP candidate))

(All Stanford dorms have a different theme each year, based on some pun related to the name.)

I’ll be in Serra too! Make sure he joins the Facebook group if he hasn’t already :)

S already joined the facebook group!!!

Best perks of Stern Hall:
- Laundry rooms are right below you on the basement floor. Never more than a few steps away.
- New dining hall opening across the street (possibly with 24-hour snacks. This was a promise from the student president, so I don’t know how true this is.)
- Late night dining is super close.
- Green library (Stanford’s main library) is walking distance (less than 5 minutes).

I’ll be in Eucalipto (Lagunita Dorms) next year.

I’m at Stern, in Burbank!

I’m in Burbank as well!
